We reached the spot at night around 12 midnite and met up Khai and Bob..There were few people around doing their usual crabbing at night..Shimano_boi and Yusri settle down and open up our canvas sheet to place our belonging on top..sat down and slowly set up our rod..It was a windy and cold night with a strong current too..Wind blowing left,current going right,how to fish like that kind of condition?lolx..we rest for a while as there was a lot of crab destroying our baits and rigs too..
Soon,it started drizzling..we looked out for an empty shelter and stay there till morning around 7am whereby it started to rain cats and dogs..Our spirits were not dampen as it will soon stop raining..Bob went home in the morning and 3 of us stayed..I and Khai went to check the water and saw the ikan Bilis roaming in big group..without waiting,we set up our small rod and started catching those ikan bilis..Yusri caught a nice todak too..Seems our recent post all got Todak too..lolx...tight lines....

Shimano_boi and yusri planned that fishing at the BJT was a good places as we hardly go there due to distant was so far from our home..So we decided to go there at night while meeting up Khai and accomplice at the jetty..Khai reached there earlier and book the shelter..Shimano_boi and Yusri planned to disturb Khai by notknowing him..Suddenly there someone calling my full name out twice..Coz Khai doesnt know my full name...Turned my head and saw Yan_Hugo...What a surprised!!He doesn't have my new number?Hmmmm..lolx..

So Shimano_Boi and Yusri set up our rods and we went to jig the night tambans together with Yan_Hugo,Khai and Yusri..The night was not crowded at all as expected..It was a pleasure to fish with Yan_Hugo again after entering NS life,most of us are busy with daily work and commitment..So,it was a wonderful night to meet up our fishing members again..

Soon it was morning and i just woke up from my sleep..Need that sleep alot if not can't ride my bike if i were sleepy..lolx..Set-up our rig the night before and already jigging for the live tambans..Damn!!!Where all the tambans go???All of us at the jetty got a hard time finding this fish..Yusri got the first tamban and quickly hook and release to the sea..Shimano_boi turned and saw his rod bend..Shouted and Yusri grabbed hold of his rod..Pumping up nicely nad got a nice Todak as a reward...Next tamban was Shimano_boi,i hook it up and release it..Yusri saw my drag release hard twice and i went to my rod and pump it up..it was BIG!!I set the drag tension nicely and pumping it up..It jump twice and went sprinting unknowingly..it went unhook and i was totally disheartened!!Not mine will not be mine..There's always a next time..To Khai,next time we go BJT,u get the 1st tamban...Dun be disheartened bro..Enjoy the pics below..

This was a recent catch report that was held at the North area of S'pore water;Sembawang..We reached the spot the night before to settle down and find some good space and shelther..We use apollo rig to waste our time using dead prawns and soon,it was going to be morning..Yusri and Khai set-up their rod to catch these todak that they have playing with this month..After a few hours under the hot sun,their hardwork is paid off finally..Here are the photos attached below..Enjoys and tight lines always..

The Cheap Thrills

The night was cold and the sea water was in a superb condition..we left our homes and pick Yusri up and off we go to the spot..Soon after we reached there,there was Yusri neighbourhood friends who was there fishing earlier and some few malay uncles were there too fishing..not much of action during the upcoming tide and soon we were given a cheap thrills instead..hehehe..the Blukang Catfish was indeed light up our night that day were total of 6 catches of FAT POWERFUL BLUE-Kang..lol...Indeed these blukang are different from other place..Thier strength are brutal and fight from far till near too..A Thai Anglers was also there and caught a nice 2kg++ Grouper..Nice size..

The next day we went there again to fish..Body was tired but was happy the day before we caught those fishes and released them safely back to the open sea...That night was filled with silence and no drag was pulled off..We waited and Yusri neighbour caught a nice Mangrove Jack weigh 500g at night...After that nothing else was caught till morning where Yusri got his nice Eel-tail Catfish a.k.a Sembilang..Thats all Anglers..Hope to see u drop by again next time..Tight Lines Always..

We reached there at night and the place was quite wet due to the rain occured earlier in the afternoon..Finding a dry path was quite hard as it was muddy and slippery all over the area..Soon,we found a dry path and settle down at the breaker..Had our bait loaded up and casted out..Waited a while and we got a duri each for our self...Due to the water condition at pasir ris was not confirm as it's safe or not,we didn't consume it..Overall,we're happy as both got our share..Tight Lines..

Diamonds Are Forever!!

We reached the spot around 9am++ and the last week Uncle was there too fishing..He was there earlier than us,so we just join in with him and had a brief chat before setting up our weapons..Soon,we casted out our lines and Cik Nasir came few hours later..Unfortunately,the clouds turns gray and it started drizzling cum heavy rain..But it doesnt dampen our courage to fish..
Soon after the rain stop,we loaded the live prawns again and again to bait the fish out..It was near 4.30pm already and there wasnt any take at all..Suddenly.....Krekkkkk!!!!One of the reel drag has been alerted..The Uncle quickly strike and fought with the fish for few minutes..Alas,the fish was brought up safely..It was the Diamond Trevally..
He packed up leaving Me,Yusri and Cik Nasir continue fishing..It was already 5pm plus yet no take for us yet..A youngster came by to us saying that one of the rod had dropped and the nearby dustbin..We take a glance and Cik Nasir rod was already halfway into the sea..Yusri quickly slide down the slippery breaker and grabbed hold cum striking it..The line was still out..Soon,Cik Nasir took over and end the battle with a nice Diamond Trevally too..Congratulation to the Uncle and Cik Nasir too..Two Chermins was caught altogether..

It was a great Sunday morning with lots of anglers appearing with their weapons to hunt down for some fishes in the Northern part of S'pore...The sea was calm and beautiful indeed..the sunrise was superb with its orange hues lighting up our morning with warmness..An uncle then reaches and join into our spot,hanging front in its bicycle was a Live Prawns..Since we were fishing yesterday at Changi NSRCC and continuing at Sembawang park,we havnt caught anything..Well,that is what fishing all about..LUCK and SKILLS...
He(uncle) casted out his lines pairing it up with a short rod..Soon,his rod bends outward and jerking out..Yusri manage to alert the uncle and he quickly grab hold before giving it a good strike..The rod was bending into "C" shape..Soon,it was game over..The fish surfaces and it was a beautiful Diamond Trevally..Known as a Chermin too..Congratulation to this Uncle who caught it..

We met up at the location around 11pm plus as Shimano_Boi(me) and Yusri were the last one to reach there..We were s happy that we are able to meet up again for some fishing and chit chatting..Set up our rods and casted our lines out..The night was full with joyful laughter although no fish were being caught..
Even we lived with our busy life,we yet manage to find a suitable time to meet up and fish together..That's the spirit of D'Gonjolz that will never fade away from our heart of the Fisherman Surf-Anglers..Hope to be fishing again and posting up new Surfcasting adventures...To be continued...Stay tuned for further updates..

Method of Cleaning to All Fishing Gears

Reels will last longer if cleaned with a small amount of alcohol or kerosene(petrol) after every use. Also apply lightweight oil on other moving parts of the reel before storage. The same advice goes for spinning, bait-casting and multiplier reels. A little preventive maintenance can add years to your fishing enjoyment. You may also want to soak the gears and small parts in the petrol whilst cleaning it using a soft brush to clear the dirt or intact oil..Tight lines anglers..

We met up at TMFT @ 7.45am to check-in our bags,rod and cooler-box and had our morning coffee as usual nearby..We chatted happily while waiting for the ferry(WaveMaster) to arrived before we had our passport check and enter to the departure hall..Soon,our ferry came and we boarded it and the journey took us 2hrs to reached the Tg Pinang Port.. Upon the arrival at Tg Pinang,we got our passport stamped and proceeded outside the port as instructed by our organiser..We met up with our tour guide(has been working with our organiser for long time) to bring us to the shop where we could able to get our refreshment and also our cigarattes..hahhahhaha...cheap and nice cigarrates...lolx...we smoked and smoked and smoked while our stuff is transported to the fishing boat..Next its our turn to be transported by the van and took us 40mins journey to reached the fishing boat jetty.. As we reached there,we headed down to the jetty to board onto the fishing boat and had our breakfast in the boat..The breakfast was totally superb and our cold drinks..Weather is good and hot..after eating,we set up our tackles and place it on top while the boat is already out in the sea..We chatted and laugh our heads off while setting up..Soon,we went to sleep as the journey out for 7hours before we reached the fishing spots.. Finally we woke up and found that there isnt any island around us anymore..what are we waiting,FISH ON..Enjoy the pics.

Shimano Maintenance Tip #2

CONVENTIONAL REELS
STEPS TO FOLLOW:

1) Tools and cleaning materials recommended to service reel.Some Shimano reels come with Bantam Oil. These simple tools are readily available at hardware stores.

2) Remove left side plate screws with a Phillips or flathead screwdriver.Take extra precautions to select properly sized screwdrivers to prevent stripping screw heads.

3) Remove spool assembly.Use Shimano Bantam Oil to lubricate drive shaft bearing or bushing.

4) Clean exterior of reel with isopropyl rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs or toothbrush.Shimano Bantam Oil may be used on the reel foot to prevent corrosion.

5) Inspect and clean spool assembly.It is highly recommended that fishing line(especially braided line) to be remove form the spool at least once a year to prevent spool corrosion.

6) Oil spool bearing and brake collars.

NOTES: Do not grease spool shafts,as it will affect freespool adversly.

7) Check left side plate spool bearing for rust or wear.Oil bearing and idle gear.Apply a light coat of grease to clicker assembly.

8) Reinstall spool and side plate.General maintenance is now complete.

Shimano Maintenance Tip #1

BAITCASTING HEAVY DUTY MAINTENANCE

*Recommended for reels that have had extensive saltwater exposure or those that have been submerged in saltwater.

*Lightly rinse reels with freshwater using spray bottle.Avoid excessive water form high pressure source as this may push the salt or debris inside the reel. Wipe down reel with rag or clean towel after rinsing. This is also good practice after every fishing trip.

1) Use a small Phillips or flathead screwdriver to remove handle assembly.

2) Use a 10mm nutdriver or wrench to remove handle nut. Thereafter, remove star drag, spring and washers.

3) Remove side plate screws. It is always a good idea to lay out parts in order to aid during reassemby.

4) Remove side plate. Take care not to lose yoke springs as they may fall out.

5) Remove the drive gear, drag washers, pinion gear, yoke and yoke springs.

6) Clean driver gear and apply Shimano Drag Grease on the threads of the gears.

7) Clean drag washers of old grease. Apply a light coat of Shimano Drag Grease.

8) Clean the inside of the pinion gear for optimal free spool performance.

9) Reinstall the drive gear, drag washers, yoke and pinion. Take care not to damage gear threads. Note the proper orientation of yoke and pinion gear.

10) Reinstall yoke springs and roller clutch inner tube. Reinstall right side plate and side plate screws.

11) Reinstall star drag, washer, handle assembly. Tighten handle nut with 10mm nutdriver or wrench.

This is the past of Fazly adventure where he went to the Eastern Part of S'pore to catch different kind of fish with just Rod and Lines..lolx..Its location are such as East Coast,Changi and Tanah Merah..Well,he also did netcasting which that is his forte actually..From the seaside,to the waterbreaker and to the bridge..Thats where he will do his netcasting..Skills were superb..Njoy the pictures broz....

Sedili Trip Part 2

Soon its was morning at 7.30am and no one was around at the bridge as we fell asleep while waiting for the sun to rise..its was a beautiful morning indeed..Cik khamis woke up and start the car and went we off to the Boatmen house which was located at Sedili Kechil..we arrived there and drove the boatmen to had our breakfast nearby the kampong..after that we bought some ice and drinks before going off to the big sea..we met our boatmen at the pick up point and loaded our gears and boxes in the boat..We put on our full battle clothing to prevent sunburn..hehehehe...Off we go to the big sea..it was going up high tide as we reached at our spot..On the way,we set up our fishing gears and rigs too..Anchored down...Start fishing..the water was muddy and the water was not so choppy..I vomitted twice as this was my first offsore trip and the nasi lemak got off from my stomach..i didnt have enough rest and even ate spicy breakfast..lolx..We had no time to take pictures after we started fishing..Njoy the pictures bro..

Sedili Trip Part 1

Anglers include Shimano_Boi(Me),Willy and Cik Khamis(S._Boi Future In law)...We went to Sedili by our own vehicle whereby Cik Khamis drove the car from S'pore via Tuas 2nd link;thank god we reach there in time cause the jam starts to built up fast..Phew!!!He drove to Gelang Patah rest area as usual,we bought our Cigarattes and off we go to johor cause the money changer close oreadi liao..Damn it!!we went to johor to get our money change and we went Sedili straight..Half way on the road,there was a Traffic road-block at 12am..is like wat the heck!!road still damn busy..siao liao...the journey took us 2hrs to reach Sedili..We reached Sedili Kechil and had our supper and coffee..kampong style is the best..Yummy!!!After we filled our stomach,we went to the nearby brigde and there was a lot of anglers fishing for KBL and other kind such as Gelama,Grunter,Duri Belang and also Sediling..Shimano-Boi took some photos tat were caught by the anglers there..They were friendly and funny too like we Singaporeans when we get together with our friends..lolx..njoy the pics..

New Improvise Thumb Guard

I would especially like to thank to my thumb model who is Hilmi a.k.a RIBOT..This is the new improvised thumb guard that was sewed by Shimano_Boi(ME)..I got this idea by Hilmi as he uses this to cast and get a better grip of it..Now,it is still under construction as to make it have a better outlook and tight fitting to the thumb..As the present Thumb Guard is made of leather,it will wear off easily..Furthermore, it tends to fly off from our thumb after the cast..Researched has been done and a substitute has oreadi been made..Have a breeze look at our under-constuction thumb-guard..We name it F.T.G ( Fitting-Thumb-Guard)..

Past Catch at Sembawang--Golden ********

This is the past catch at Sembawang Park whereby the anglers include Shimano_Boi, Willy and Cik Nasir [ DHL worker]..All of us we loaded with live prawns as targeted fish was Cermin..Soon,water was receeding slowly..Around 3pm if im not mistaken,line was peeling out on Cik Nasir reel and the 5ft rod was bending tremendously..He was using floater and casted out less than 15m and the fish hit it so rough..he overcome it calmly and set his drag right..there were small Tug-O-War for few minutes..Hence,this beauty came up and Cik Nasir got a BIG smile on his face..He also got a nice Cermin too which was given to Willy..Here the picture where Willy pose with it...The Golden Prompfet...

Anglers include Willy,BigHomie & wifey,Izam,Ain Master,Albert,Faizal & Wifey..Went for a Sibu Trip on 21-22 March 2009 for surfcasting..We left Singapore from Team 7 shop at 6.00am to put our stuff inside the passenger van before proceeding to the Woodlands Checkpoint and M'sia Checkpoint..Our first stop was at Kota Tinggi for breakfast before proceeding to Tg. Leman to chater our SPEED BOAT to Sibu Island a.k.a Twin Beach..Hence upon the arrival at Sibu,we walk thru the long wooden jetty before reaching at the end the jetty..We waited for the keys to distributed by the organiser before we can check in into our wooden cabins..Lets the pictures do the talking..stay tune for part 2 of Sibu Trip..

Bedok Jetty Catches

Recently, Shimano_Boi and Willy went fishing at the newly opened Bedok Jetty where its place is famous for its variety fishes in the deep blue sea..We went there at 1am to book the bus-stop shelter and settle down after setting up our rod and rigs for the morning high tide..The night was cooling and we went to sleep till sunrise keeping our belonging at highest security..Soon,it was morning at 7am whereby i witness the big splashed already started..Willy quickly jigged for tambans and got one..i hooked it up and released it fast to the sea..I took turns to jig the tambans up as nowadays the tambans are lesser and its really hard to hook them up...Soon,Willy turn to hook and released the tamban out to the sea.
Few minutes later,Willy Abu Garcia Blue Yonder drag alarmed went off loudly..Grekkkk!!!!Game on!!he pump it up but the predator didn't swallow the tamban..Hence, causing the damage to the tamban..Soon, Shimano_Boi drag went off..he quickly run to his rod and strike..he reeled in slowly and fought a bit before the fish surfaces..It was the Parang a.k.a Saitoh fish..hehehehe..Later,Shimano_Boi brought up to lethal Todaks up the jetty too..Here are the total catches..Enjoys..Tight lines always SingaporeCoastAnglers..

Recently went for a short fishing session at the Eastern side of the beach in S'pore..Anglers include Willy,Shimano_Boi,Cik Aziz(angler who join us),Abg Din(angler who join us too)..We reached there in the evening and set up our rod and casted out the baits...Baits used were sotong,baby squid(chomet),prawns..First fish were brought up by Cik Aziz and the initial pull was superb...Next was Willy who caught the 2nd Kitties eventually the biggest thru out the fishing escapade..3rd was Shimano_Boi(Me Myself) who caught a decent size Kitty..Den,i brought up a nice big Eel-tail Cafish in the night which i always wish to get one(long time oreadi nvr get this fish)..hehehe...Soon,it was morning..These are the total catches which will surprised u really..this is like offshore fishing indeed..

These are some of the past catches by regular BJT anglers who caught it before the jetty was closed for renovation. Bait used was tamban which was caught using the apollo hook. Method to catch these big fishes were mainly CABLE-CAR technique which enables the tambans to swim on the surface of the water,thus creating splashes and lost from its group. Went fishing off to the East region of the S'pore sea water..reached there around 4am plus as anglers includes Hilmi Ribot Caster&Gf,Azlan,Yan Hugo,Willy a.k.a Batang and Shimano_Boi a.k.a Ikan Buntal.....Set up our weapon and casted out our line in searched of our prey in the sea..Soon after 5mins,Yan Hugo brought up a nicely Duri weighing around 1kg++ followed by Shimano_Boi..We ended our fishing at 7am plus,packed up and went home happily..Total catch was 3 Duri and some Tua Bak from the East Coast before we came to another spot for fishing..

After missing my beauty for quite a long time..Shimano_Boi decided to call Willy to accompanied me the day itself at nite after Shimano_Boi came back from kelong and Willy from Sibu Island to surfcast..We went to the northern seaside to set up our rods and casted out..Timing was around 1am++...Nite was quite silent and cold wind blew towards us..Suddenly, Shimano_Boi saw his rod jerk and then his drag went off a bit..Thats it...Shimano_Boi strike it lightly and reel it back...Thinking the fish escaped while reeling in as it was light..Then it gave a small thug on the ohter end...I quickly reel in slowly setting up my drag...Soon...This beauty of mine came to visit me..My beloved Choaxi!!!!!2nd fish caught up was a nice size Usat....Willy was sleeping soundly...lolx..

Fishing Off M'sia Water..

Last week,Anglers include Shimano_Boi,LazyMe,Uncle Wan,Uncle Khamis,Bro Amy,Uncle Bahrom and Uncle Lan went to fish at the kelong off M'sia water to try out the place whether is it fruitful or not..Hence, we went there to try it out preparing ourselves with live prawns,dead prawns,Wat-wat,sarong and sotong.. We reached the boating area around 4pm++ and take off to the kelong at around 4.30pm..The journey was smooth as water was calm and nice..I expected to get lots of fish when reached there..Lets the pics do the talking..at least we caught a handful of fish as not to be upset..lolx...nice trip anyway..

Went to buy bait in Msia secret area..lolx.. 1 handful of wat-wat cost $5 ringgit..

Set up our rod and casted out..not much bite at nite as water is a little full of seaweed recently..others was fishing at the breaker whilst me,Fazly and Willy when futhur down a bit to fish and chill out..only Shimano_Boi rod was with a bell..after cast out,we went to the breaker to chill with others..Willy caught up two baby stingray consequtively.. den Shimano_Boi bell rang loudly from far..Ran quickly and strike..HIT!!!no chance for the fish to run away with 30lbs line..hehehehe...it was the Kapas Kapas fish..den after that Shinamo_Boi brought up his FIRST BABY PARI after fishing for how many donkey years..Lazyme also brought up a baby pari when we went to buy food for supper as the cold wind make us hungry.. Njoy guys..

Reached the spot at around 10pm ++ and meet BigHomie&wifey there who have reached earlier..we straight away set up our rod and done the first cast of the night..while waiting for Kit-silencer to come,we chit chat and had alot of fun together with each other accompany..not forgetting to BigHomie&wifey for the food and packet of drinks for the night to keep our stomach warm.. next time bring again hor..Kit-silencer arrive and immediately setup and cast out..water tide is going up slowly...my school friend came down to east coast to fish with his mates and also brought for us a nice hot coffee and tea...Thanks Ozal... the first fish brought up was BigHomie wife,its was the Eeltail catfish..and again...and again..we were a zero fighter for a short period of time..by then ,Willy caught a nice palm size of a grunter fish and again BigHomie wife brought up this Bandang which gave a strong tug to her line.. soon,Lazyme also caught a small baby Pari on his Abu Garcia Ultracast 2.. Kit-silencer drag went off and quickly shouted "Oi!ur drag!!!"Kit-silencer was excited and ran towards his rod..he was using swa chiam as bait..we stood in front of his rod and waited..tinking it was a Pari..Kit-silencer gave a hard strike and reel in..but the way he reeling in doesnt look likes a Pari at all..thought the fish had ran away oreadi,reaching the end oreadi,we were like finding where the fish gone...Willy pull up the line and all were shocked!!!Nice man the fish u caught and really stunned..the fish ate the swa chiam head...lolz..it was caught at 6am ++...then,we packed up and went home at 8am ++..we had alot of fun...enjoy the pics...

aFTER being caught as the tomcats,the three tomcats when to fish at sembawang park coz itchy hands oreadi..hahaha...lets keep this CR short and sweet coz the fish caught oso nice to cook it sweet...the first fish was caught on 16th around 3am plus..jetty was so quiet and only around 4 to 5 rods standing still..while chilling and chatting,suddenly 1 of them say "kana kana kana"..den i look at his rod,it bend a bit den straight away bend towards the sea..wah!!!!big one kana oreadi..he pump up and Willy went down at the jetty stairs waiting to help..Shimano_Boi ask the person to tighten his drag..he did..while pumping up the fish,it pull back going left and right..this gonna big..reach near,Willy pull up the rig and i carry it up the fish to the jetty...ITS NOT SMALL... Woke up at 12pm..call Yusri and he was at Sembawang park with BigHommie,Kit-silencer(not silence always) and his master guru...i went down there followed by Lazyme...we were aiming for Chermin or ACk...using live prawns and sarong...no bite..i use apollo rig to catch choaxi but i miss one but dun know wat it is...soon,i help to reload bait at master guru rod with sarong and bigHommie cast out far...not even 1min got pull..den strike immediately..Bighommie say kana fish..rod bending 'C' shape oreadi..den feel like kana rubbish master guru say..den decided to pull slowly..den it was amazing we pull this RUBBISH up..Finally,it was a 2kg Grouper was brought up..

d'Gonjolz Grand Opening '09...

This is a true grand opening for the d'Gonjolz and it was thanks to BiGHomiE who caught this Cobia while surfcastin' in the eastern part of S'pore... Bait used was tamban and was casted out not too far from the shore... Before long,his drag alarm went off and BiGHomiE rushed in to strike! Game ON!!! ... Hook was set and time to pump it up... However,the fish kept peeling his line out for few minutes... BiGHomiE fought for a good 25 minutes before reelin' in the fish with the help of two other anglers (Bubba & Willy)... Check out the beauty and BiGHomiE's wide smile... hehehehe...

My biggest catch that i have encounter is this Grut-Grut a.k.a Grunter Fish...Fishing in the Eastern area with Willy and Shimano_Boi (me myself)..This was caught at 4am in the morning while i we was setting up other rod..My shimano rod has casted out the bait first..This Shimano Rod has broke its virgin to this beautiful fish which was caught and brought up..Enjoy the pictures...

This was caught at Tg Rhu before we changed spot to Changi carpark 7... Anglers include Shimano_Boi, Willy, Fahrul, Ambari, BiGHomie & Wifey..We set up our tackles and casted out near as the place is quite constraint for long rods... Soon, a PUB personnel came and told us that fishing is no longer allowed in this area as the PUB has taken over the place... Hence, while reeling back to pack up, I felt a small tug on the other end of my line.. I caught this Fingermark Snapper a.k.a Unga Tanda by surprise...

We reached the jetty at night around 9pm.. Anglers include Shimano_Boi, Willy, BiGHomiE & Wifey,Muizz & Gf... Food was bought by BiGHomiE's friend Muizz (dun know the spelling) for Shimano_Boi & Willy... Food was simply superb and then off we go setting up our tackles... We cast fresh baits out to sea but no action... The night was chilly and windy really... I even wore two jackets but still felt so cold... We were too bored and slept till morning... Willy casted out a live prawn that night and went to sleep too... Shimano_Boi & Willy were sleeping outside while others in their own tent.. Exactly 7am in the morning, a drag alarm went off loudly which happens to be Willy's set up... I was shocked by the drag alarm and even BiGHomiE heard it too... Willy woke up immediately and strike!! Few minutes later,this beauty was caught and brought up nicely on the jetty... Its a Kaci a.k.a Sweetlips weighing around 2kg...

Willy a.k.a Batang went fishing out in the sunny northern part of S'pore with his friends... Bait used was live prawns... Reached the spot @ noon and quickly set up his tackle and set his floater right before casting out the live bait.. Soon after, this beautiful Diamond Trevally ( Chermin ) was caught and brought up safely..

Combined catches at the northern part of s'pore....Anglers includes Shimano_Boi, Willy and LazyMe...Baits use were dead prawns and bread...This are the total catches....

2 Chaoxi, 1 Kim Kor and 2 Chromides

This was caught few years back at the east side of Singapore..Angler includes Shimano_Boi and Willy a.k.a Batang..The bait was sarong ( Tube worms ) which was purchase at Sincere Fishing Tackle located at Yishun.. We reached the spot at around 8pm and set up our tackles and off we go casting out our lines.. The night was quite quiet as it was weekdays if im not wrong.. The first fish caught was the marine-catfish a.k.a blukang in malay term. It is big as it pull off my Shimano Apertox 6500 drag out and i started pumping it in..Willy also caught the same fish but was smaller than the size i caught.. Morning came and water receding fast, without delay i casted out and caught a Eel-tail catfish ( Sembilang) which was not in the picture.. We packed up and went home after that..
